In 1 Timothy 2:11-15, Paul directs Timothy in how to think about the role of women in the public worship of the church. In these verses he specifically addresses the role of teaching elder or pastor, tying his instruction back to the Bibles teaching on creation itself. In this teaching, Pastor Joe unfolds the Bibles teaching on these important and much-discussed topics. We invite you to listen and consider the teaching, and to check out the resources below.

  1. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
  2. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
  3. For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
  4. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
  5. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
